Am I too old?Absolutely not. As long as you still have breath in your lungs, you should be striving to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle. Exercise coupled with proper nutrition is the closest thing we've got to an 'anti-aging' solution.
-
I feel a bit self-conscious, will people be watching me?"Our studio is purpose built for Personal Training sessions and remains 100% private to the general public. There will be no unwanted observers. Just me, you and your results.
-
Will it be difficult?Yes, but probably in ways you're not expecting. My job isn't to entertain you for a few hours per week, I'm not here to thrash you every session. We're here to get you the result you desire. That will involve education, behaviour change and a significant effort on your part outside of the gym. It won't be easy and there will be bumps in the road, but I'll be with you every step of the way.
-
I have a few previous injuries, can we work around them?"In a lot of cases, yes. Obviously, this would be dependent on the severity of the problem... but you'll find that most new clients are carrying some wear and tear. We have many pieces of specialised equipment in the studio that allow us to work around certain issues and avoid aggravating old injuries. We accept that everybody is different and we'll work together to find the programme that suits you personally.
-
I travel a lot for work, can I mix In-Person Sessions and Remote Sessions?"Absolutely. A lot of my clients have extended periods where they can't physically visit the gym. Remote training allows us to stick to a programme and ensure progress no matter where they are in the world!
-
How long do I need to train for?For life. Everybody should be striving to live a healthy, active lifestyle. However, that doesn't mean you have to train with ME for life. Part of my role is to educate you and get you to a point where you don't NEED me. We're aiming to build your confidence and knowledge level to such a point where you can achieve results safely by yourself. You can walk into any gym and know exactly what you're doing.
-
How many sessions should I do per week? This entirely depends on you and your circumstances. During the consultation process we'll discuss what is realistic and will garner the best results for you. Some people may train with a PT 5x per week, others may train with a PT 1x per month and follow a tailored programme between sessions. There really is no perfect approach... just the approach that works for you.
-
Do I need to get fit before I start? No. That is equivalent to washing your car before going to the car wash. Your programme is tailored to you, whatever your starting point may be.
-
Can I adjust / cancel my Personal Training package after I have started training?Of course. Circumstances change. After an initial commitment of 6 weeks, you're free to adjust / cancel your PT package with 2 weeks notice.
-
Can I afford it?That's not for me to say. There are a few Coaching Options to suit various budgets (See package list). Group Training and Remote Coaching are also available. Like any investment, you need to ensure it's the right choice for you. Regardless whether you sign up for Personal Training or not, Please remember that; - You are important - Your body is important - You're with each other for life. Your body is the only place that you HAVE to live. Don't be afraid to invest in yourself and make the most of your health. I completely understand that everybdy has different circumstances. But if you're spending £120 per month on coffee, £80 per month on a TV subscription, £400 per month on going out drinking, ... and nothing on your health. That's a priority issue. Whether that's investing in a Personal Trainer, a pair of running shoes, a gym membership... learn to put you and your health first. It's worth it everytime.
